Housing
Housing Zones
The housing zones for each area are marked on the game maps by the yellow boxes. These areas are the only places in game that you are allowed to place a home in. There is limited space on the main world of Iia, but there will always be more Housing Zones opening as the realms expand. Please check the website periodically for possible updates.
Overview
Housing in Endless Ages describes the ability of the player to place a house in the 3D game world using a deed purchased from a house builder. The first housing company in IIA is still going strong in the central city of Four Falls. One of the greatest things about owning a house is that you can set up a store to sell goods to other players and you can install a vault that gives you a second secure place in the world to store valuable items. If you are a clan leader, you can share your vault and your house with your clan. Houses are also upgradeable... say you can only afford a small house, so you purchase the deed and place it. Later on, as you become wealthier, you can buy another house deed and upgrade your current house. As time goes on more additions will become available for housing so check back for updates.
Housing has many benefits. Your home is your own personal Rebirth zone; you can install your own personal vault, or even open your own store within your home in order to sell goods to other players.
Available Houses
Stone Hut

The Stone Hut is a good starting home. Although it is smaller than the log cabin, it offers a unique circular style and is an inexpensive place to get your first house-store and vault set up. It has a ramped entrance for easy familiar and vehicle access. Its floor space is about 100 square feet.
Log Cabin
The Log Cabin is also a great starter house. Although a little more expensive than the Stone Hut, the inside is partitioned into two rooms with a fireplace for those cold IIA winters. It has transparent windows and contains about 200 square feet of total floor space.
Silo

The size and room of the Silo makes it a great choice for a war clan base, and with it being built up on stilt legs, it makes it very easy to place on all kinds of terrain. It even has its own small brick basement for meetings.
Three Story Stone Hut

The Three Story Stone Hut is excellent middle-ground real estate. It offers three floors with one lookout room. Each floor is 100 square feet. The ramped entrance makes for easy familiar and vehicle access. Handsome exterior attracts customers to your store and makes a great clan house.
Castle
The Castle is the largest dwelling structure available to the general populace of IIA (although it is rumored there are others in the works). It features five floors and three 150-square-foot lookout rooms on the top floor. Great for clan parties, vaults and commerce the castle is very expensive and generally the marking of a true elder of IIA.
Placing a House
To place a Deed or House, just enter a Housing Zone (marked on the map by the yellow boxes), open your inventory (F5), select the Deed and then press "USE". If the area that you are attempting to place the house on is a good foundation then your house will appear and you will get a message in your chat window - "You have placed your house successfully..." Depending on the landscape, you may have to search around for a good place to set down your new home. You can find the commands to open or close the door of your home in the Typed Commands section.
House Vaults
As a home owner you have the capability to place your own vault/bank within your home. There are three different sizes of vaults that you can purchase and place within your home, and of course, just like when purchasing a Deed to a house, as the size of the vault increases, so does the price for it. There are Small, Medium, and Large vaults.
To install a vault/bank into your new home, just enter the home, open your inventory (F5), select the vault and then press "USE". If your vault was successfully installed you will get a message in the chat window - "Installed..." You will access your home vault in the same manner as any other vault; press F1, then Vault, or type in the chat function - :BANK.
Commerce Installations (Player Store)
Now, if you would like to open your own store within your home, you must first purchase a Commerce Installation. Once you have this you can install it into your home just like a vault; select it from your inventory (F5), then press "USE". If you store (Commerce Installation) was successfully installed, you will get a message in the chat window - "Installed..." Anyone coming to shop from your home can access your store in the same fashion as any other store in the game; just stand in the home and press F1 then Store, or type in with the chat function - :BUY.
Now as the store owner you will have to build and maintain your store's inventory. In order to place items into your store's inventory, just use the chat function while in your home and type in :MANAGE This will allow you to place or remove items into your store's inventory, set prices for each item, and see how much money your store has taken in. Now if you would like to withdraw all the money or assets that your store has taken in just press the Cash Out button. Performing this function will withdrawal the money/assets from your store and place it into your character's inventory.
Sharing Use (Clans)
If you are a clan leader you can even share your home and vault with your clan mates, transforming your home into a clan base.

Upgrading Your House
If you desire to upgrade your house, there are a few things that you must take into consideration before doing so. When you upgrade a house, any existing installed vaults and or stores will be destroyed during the upgrade process. Because of this, it is highly recommended that you clear out your vault and or store before proceeding with the upgrade. No items will be replaced due to not following these upgrade instructions.
All houses can be upgraded to any other type oh house available in game. Upgrading a house is a very simple task. All you must do is first acquire another type of House Deed by purchasing it from the house vendor NPC in the Four Falls town. You must go and stand right in front of your house and "Use" the Deed, in the same way as placing the original house. If done correctly, you will get a message - "Upgrade successful?". Sometimes your new home will not appear until you refresh the area. If it looks like your old house is there, but you know that the upgrade was successful based off of the message, just go far enough from your house till it "pops out" and then come back. You will then see your new home.
